Bogaards Davis LLP partner, Debra Bogaards, marches in the Women’s March in Washington, D.C. on January 21, 2017. She marched for her two daughters Danielle and Jamie Bogaards. She marched for positive change, and for a continued progression to equal rights for all, women’s rights to equal pay and access to reproductive health care, continued funding for Planned Parenthood, freedom of all religions, freedom of the press and accountability in government, clean air and water and public education. She did not march against anything or anyone, but to send a message of hope and unity, and to encourage our elected and appointed representatives to uphold the grander goals of our Constitution. Along with millions of men and women worldwide, Ms. Bogaards sought to send a message that campaign rhetoric must end, and to make clear that there is an active and substantial electorate which wants progressive, and not regressive, government.
